About Cosette Snarr
First and foremost, I am a wife of 53+ years, the mother of four amazing people, the grandmother to 14 incredible grandchildren, and the great-grandmother to two adorable great-grandsons. I consider myself a reformed fixer. If you’re a fixer, you know what I mean. For the very few of you out there that might not know what a fixer is, I’ll explain.
A fixer is a person who believes they need to have the answers to all problems and fix the situations accordingly. They believe their answers to be the only right ones and will work hard to prove so. The tendency to fix usually shows up in relationships, creating tension and stress.
It took me years to realize that the real Fixer is Jesus Christ, and He does it so much better than I ever did. As I learned to focus more on Him, rather than everything I saw that needed to be fixed, things in my life changed in ways I never thought possible.
I am not a psychologist or a counselor. I am simply a woman who has lived a good life and learned a lot through the struggles that came with it. For decades, I searched for a way to escape the anger and resentment I felt over life becoming so unfair. For so long, I didn’t see the answer right in front of me. It’s been a long and beautiful process. I’m sharing my story and insights in the hope that I might help others shorten their learning curve.
